Creative family sessions

A shared space for parents, teenagers and their own ways of expressing themselves

A family can care deeply about one another while struggling to find a calmer way to meet. Daily responsibilities, changing needs and different points of view can leave little space for listening.

Creative family sessions offer a possible setting for shared expression. The starting point is your family's context: what feels difficult, what matters to you and what kind of small change would be useful.

Begin with the people, then choose the format

A creative approach may include images, simple materials, conversation and moments of individual or shared reflection. These are invitations to express and notice, rather than exercises in judging who is right.

The Italian Maree Creative site describes family packages. For work in another language, contact Lucia to discuss suitability and current availability. A format, timetable or price should be agreed for the specific proposal, with space for the questions of both parents and young people.

A small creative practice

Three notes before a first conversation

These questions can help you describe the situation. You do not need a complete account of your family's story.

  1. What would you like to ease?

Name a tension, silence, distance or everyday interaction that feels difficult.

  2. What would you like to protect?

Notice a relationship, a quality in your teenager or a wish that still matters to you.

  3. What small change would be useful?

Think of a calmer conversation, a shared moment or a clearer next step, rather than a complete solution.

The Maree Creative approach

A note from Lucia

A family's story is larger than its difficult moments. A useful starting point can include both what feels heavy and what you want to care for.

Your questions

A little more clarity

Are fixed English-language packages available to book here?

Please enquire directly. Lucia will discuss the context and confirm whether a suitable proposal, language and format are currently available.

Can parents and teenagers have different needs?

Yes. An initial conversation can help clarify the participants, expectations and boundaries before any creative work is agreed.

What is the scope of these sessions?

They are described as creative and educational experiences of expression and listening. They do not replace assessment or support from appropriate healthcare professionals.

A first conversation

Start by sharing the question your family is carrying.

Write to Lucia about what you are looking for, and ask about language, format and availability.

These pages explore creative expression, personal reflection and everyday wellbeing. The approach does not provide diagnosis, psychotherapy or healthcare. The current Circle of Light group is guided in Italian.
